Creative Expressions Gallery / Submission #102 1

As a long time resident of Las Vegas/Henderson, very involved in the Country Music Events over the years including as a young man playing in a band I have strong ties to this tragedy. Our dear friend Charleston Hartfield, who lost his life that night and served our country in the Army as well as serving this community as a member of the Metropolitan Police Department was my inspiration. My Daughter, Wife and grand daughter who was fighting cancer had gone the year before, but because of Codi's cancer we couldn't go that night or we would have been in the middle of it with Charles and Veronica as we were the year before. Charles was my inspiration for this concept and I would be so grateful to have my submission considered for this to remember all that were injured and still trying to recover and all of those we lost. I was honored to be able to help on setting the tile on the newest addition to the Healing Garden downtown.
The drawing I'm sharing was conceived by me and my daughter who is a graphic designer helped on the fine tuning so that it was easier for you to understand other than my quick design. I hope we have designed it so that you can visualize the concept of the hope that I wanted to give to those that were left behind by this tragedy.

Welcome to the Gallery, a place curated thematically as a celebration of our community’s creativity, inspiration, talents and diverse perspectives and ideas. We hope it advances your journey of healing. These submissions were received during the first phase of our memorial design selection process from July 1 – Oct. 31, 2022, when the public and individual artists were encouraged to submit ideas for the memorial or artwork created in response to the incident.
